Alcon Components was established in 1984 by engineer and sports car racer John Moore in order to make brakes for Audi Sport’s Group B Quattro rally cars.

Fold Hill Foods Ltd are manufacturers of dried pet food and have been producing pet foods for over 20 years. They have gained and maintained an enviable reputation for quality and for this reason are now the largest supplier in the UK of dry pet food for retailers’ “own brands”.

Essilor is the worlds largest manufacturer of spectacle lenses. Essilor has had a presence in Britain since 1881 when Société des Lunetiers opened it’s British operation in Hatton Garden, London. It maintained a presence in the city until 1975 when the company moved its offices and production facilities to Thornbury, near Bristol. The group employs 23,000 personnel world-wide, with around 400 people employed at Thornbury.

Johnston Sweepers’ production sites in the UK manufacture a wide range of municipal and contractor cleansing vehicles from the 4 tonnes GVM Compact series to chassis mounted units in excess of 18 tonnes GVM. Direct Table Foods Ltd have two factories, one in Cuffley, Hertfordshire and one at Bury St Edmunds. The company slices and packs bacon; both their ‘own brand’ and also products for major supermarkets. Originally founded in the famous Smithfield market, Direct Table developed a fine reputation for sausages and other meat products and were one of first sole suppliers to the supermarket, Sainsbury’s.
