From rugby and football clubs to raffles and fairs, Tensor has always been proud to support the local community through donations and sponsorships.
We are pleased this year to support the Hail Weston Village Fete with a financial donation as well as a couple of bottles of Grand Cru wine for the raffle.
June Hamilton, Treasurer for the Fete, says:
"Every year, prices rise and donations such as Tensor's help to ensure that we can cover the costs of essential equipment needed. The fete is held on the largest available space, the village playing field, and we endeavour to provide as much as we can in order to attract our visitors.
"I look forward to visiting Nigel's wine cellar as he has generously offered to donate some wine to our raffle! These wines are, we know, to be treated with respect — and, indeed, we ensure that instructions on how to enjoy them at their best are attached for the lucky raffle winner!
"All proceeds from the event are returned to the village in one way or another, and last year we were happy to support not only our local church, but also the Hail Weston Wildlife & Gardening Club's 'Garden Angels', who do so much to keep this village looking colourful and tidy with planting, general maintenance of the churchyard and the various planters and borders around and about.
"In addition, the Hail Weston Neighbourhood Café were given funds to replace the crockery and cutlery which was badly needed. Both the latter are run on a non-profit basis, so these funds were very welcome.
"We are currently considering what funds raised this year will be put towards — but you can rest assured that it will be a worthy cause!
"Many thanks to Tensor for your continued support."
The Hail Weston Village Fete will this year feature its fun and much-anticipated dog show, alongside the returning barbeque, bar and tea tent, children's races and the highly competitive tug-of-war. Highlights new for 2026 will include a display by the St Neots Air Force Cadets, and routines by local performing arts groups.
