Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly launches Tensor 2020 Apprenticeship Scheme

Jonathan Djanogly kicked off the launch of Tensor's 2020 Apprenticeship Scheme with Chief Executive, Ashley Smith earlier this week, when he visited the firm's offices in Hail Weston. Mr Djanogly discussed the local opportunities available at Tensor for apprentices in the St Neots area, as well as Tensor's 30 years commitment to this particular education path.

As the leading UK designer, manufacturer & installer of Smart Card and biometric based Time & Attendance and security systems, Tensor is keen to support young people through apprenticeships and on to future opportunities within the Tensor group.

Since the company's involvement in security and energy management extends into all areas of Access Control, Visitor Monitoring and Building Management systems, including Turnstiles, Car park barriers, CCTV & ANPR there are lots of chances for people to work in different parts of the business to find areas of employment that particular suit them. Tensor started taking on apprentices in conjunction with Huntingdonshire Regional College shortly after the company was founded; a quarter of a century ago.

"A Tensor apprenticeship is a great way for school leavers to develop their skills and get a formal qualification whilst earning a wage", said Ashley Smith. "We have apprenticeships in Electronics, Software Engineering, Installations and Manufacturing" he added.
