Tensor Security Indonesia (TSI) demonstrates how biometric technologies can combat financial fraud

Today, Tensor Security Indonesia (TSI) hosted a meeting of the Indonesian Credit Card Association (http://www.akki.or.id/) at the Ayana Hotel, Jakarta attended by Tensor's Chief Executive, Ashley Smith.

The event was attended by over 100 representatives from the largest financial institutions across Indonesia. TSI introduced and demonstrated several biometric technologies including our facial recognition system to show how financial fraud could be combated. Using links to the Indonesian national database, the eKTP, including the capability to directly read an Indonesian national identity card, TSI can reliably and irrefutably prove the identity of an Indonesian citizen to provide assurances to the Indonesian financial institutions regarding the identity of an individual undertaking a financial transaction.

With financial fraud riding across Indonesia, the use of biometric technologies linked to the eKTP national database is one of the only ways to stem a growing problem.
