ABB Limited Install WinTA Access Control and Time and Attendance System

ABB Limited who specialises in process instrumentation and control, analytical products and systems, and industry-specific automation solutions have installed a WinTA time and attendance system at their factory in St Neots. ABB wanted an established local company to install a Time and Attendance and Access control system.

The factory not only has internal and external doors to secure but also car park security. The car parks are controlled using the smart card even inside a handbag or wallet. This allows easy access to the car park and building. The car park barriers' external readers are designed to IP65 standard and can the located outside without further protection. Every reader's security level can be set for any time of day and therefore access control patterns can be set for each shift and area.

The Smart Cards are used to access the building and also to clock in and out at any of the Time and Attendance readers. The advanced reporting and analysing features of WinTA will use the clocking information in real-time to produce standard or customised reports.
